Launch of Cambridge Authorised Examination Centre
The launch event took place on 22nd July 2025 at Marino Beach Hotel, Colombo, marking a proud milestone for all of us at Horizon College of Business and Technology. One of the key highlights was the inspiring panel discussion on: “English for Work and the World: Are Our Classrooms Ready to Teach English as a Life Skill?” This session sparked important conversations about how English education must evolve to meet real-world needs in work and life. We were honoured to welcome a panel of respected experts: Dr. Patrick McNamara – Executive Director, US-Sri Lanka Fulbright Commission Mr. Arshad Akbar – Founder & CEO, Winner Dr. Oshadie Korale – Co-founder & COO, XpressJobs Ms. Imani Archana Bakmeedeniya – Cambridge English - Presenter A special thank you to Mr. Shafkhaan Faris - Manager (English), Cambridge English Sri Lanka, whose support and guidance played a vital role in making this event a success. 🌟 This is also a great opportunity for institutions and individuals who teach English to become an official Cambridge Preparation Centre through us! Partnering as a prep centre gives your learners access to globally recognised qualifications while you grow your reach and credibility as an educator. Students of Batch 7 from The Preschool Teacher - Early Childhood Development programme organized "Together We Bloom", a spectacular Talent Show at KCM Auditorium.
